Resetting BIR Alphalist Data Entry and RELIEF Usernames and Passwords

Most accountants and bookkeepers feel helpless when they forget their login details in these BIR modules, as these do not have a forgot password option. Uninstalling the program would also mean they have to redo their work all over again since the files are stored locally.

But there is a way to reset your username and password without uninstalling and reinstalling these modules. The following instructions are both applicable for the Alphalist Data Entry and RELIEF modules:

First, go the DATA folder where the Alphalist Data Entry or RELIEF module is installed.

Second, find the files uspalog.cdx and uspalog.dbf. Delete them.

Third, run the module again by typing in your preferred username and password.

Fourth, have a copy of the details of your new username and password for safekeeping.

By following these simple instructions, you would be able to access your data again without uninstalling and reinstalling these modules.
